As of Tuesday, 8/25/2020, the RCT that we are collaborating with the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) to implement in Charleston

  •  Began enrolling participants at the beginning of August, 2020
  • Is using the GrassrootsHealth database/methodology for data so that it is not necessary to have two separate systems for implementation and analysis
  • Will have a very defined protocol in Charleston only for approximately 140 participants with their initial pilot, using supplements and testing
  • Additional funding when obtained will allow the project to a total of 600 participants

The Immune Boost Project to gather data specific to COVID-19 disease and intake of several immune important nutrients was launched 8/23/2020

  • This project was built with a similar protocol to the RCT and includes the GrassrootsHealth requirement of testing vitamin D but with co-factors like Omega-3, Magnesium, and Elements Panel (selenium, copper, and zinc)
  • Tests can be customized by each participant, with suggested tests added to the minimally required vitamin D test
  • The benefits to all sponsors will be their ability to quickly target the most needy in their communities, to address any communities that are especially deficient, and to much more firmly show the effects of different co-nutrients, and further identify where the various groups benefit the most
