On the GrassrootsHealth health and lifestyle questionnaire, questions about which vitamin D supplements participants used were added in 2017. Of the participants who have answered these questions, 86% report taking at least one vitamin D supplement. The chart below shows the percent of participants taking 1, 2, 3, or 4 or more supplements with vitamin D among vitamin D supplement users. Approximately half (57%) used just 1 supplement with vitamin D, 33% used two supplements and 9% used 3 or more.
A vast majority of supplement users (98%) report taking at least one vitamin D-specific supplement while 2% only take a supplement containing vitamin D, such as a multi-vitamin. Additionally, 4% of participants report switching from one vitamin D supplement to another in the prior 6 months.
Is your vitamin D level responding as expected to supplementation?

Make sure you track your results before and after, about every 6 months!
How can I track my nutrient intake and levels over time?
To help you track your supplement use and nutrient levels, GrassrootsHealth has created an online tracking system called myData-myAnswers. For each specific supplement, you can track what days you take it, how much, and many other details. This will help you know your true supplemental intake and what patterns of use work for you to reach and maintain optimum nutrient levels. Check it out today!
