A huge thank you to Michelle Anderson, a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) student, whose passion about vitamin D, driven by her own personal vitamin D story, inspired her to intern with GrassrootsHealth for her applied learning practicum project.
Michelle was tasked with choosing a specific public health issue to focus her project on – she chose to focus on the vitamin D deficiency epidemic. She then created several short, educational videos suitable for individuals at all levels of literacy that could increase knowledge about vitamin D for specific conditions and inspire individuals to take steps towards decreasing their own risk of deficiency and related diseases.
